CALL FOR ART! Summer's End

 

For a Winter sportsperson, a snow lover, or someone who loves ‘sweater weather’, the end of the summer can be a great relief! The end of summer can be a time to excitedly look forward to and plan for the holidays, snow days, cozy blankets and hot chocolate. For those of us for whom sunny days, ice cream trucks, swimming pools and flips flops are where it’s at, Summer’s end can bring “August Anxiety” or an impulse to pack as much as we can into the days before school starts or the devils dandruff starts to fall.

TAG&TiniER invites all artists to submit to “Summer’s End”. All works both 2D and 3D up to 6”x6” will be considered in this tiny gallery show. This show is open to a wide interpretation of subject matter. There is no entry fee and there is zero commission if we can help facilitate a sale of your work. On our Instagram page, the show will run from August 10, 2026, through September 28, 2026 as a semi-virtual art show. Bragging rights Award winners of Best of Show and 2 honorable mentions will be chosen by our Juror, Coti Meier and will have a pop-up in our satellite location within Material Studios and Gallery in the historic third ward, Milwaukee, WI.

To apply please send 1-2 pictures of your artworks (no AI, ever.) to TagandTiniER@gmail.com with subject line “Summer’s End”, please include in the email: the size, media and title of work/s and label your picture file with your first initial, last name and title. Example “HBuchholzSuntan.jpg”. Submit by July 1st. Notifications will go out on July 15th. Make sure to read our “Disclaimer” here at https://tagandtinier.blogspot.com BEFORE applying (bottom of page). Artists will be responsible for shipping to and from TAG&TiniER with a prepaid shipping label included with your art (or other arrangement such as venmo etc) local artists can arrange a drop off to the Tiny Art Gallery at driveways end or to Material Studios and Gallery.

HOW TO SUBMIT PROPOSAL

  If you are interested in showing with the TiniER Art Gallery and being featured on our Instagram page, email proposal to: TagandTiniER@gmail.com The TiniER Art Gallery is a repurposed dollhouse that shows real art from real artists, just smaller! There are currently no commissions or entry fees for shows.  This is a fun way for us to promote artists and give back in a tiny way to the art community that we get so much from! Proposals for solo or group shows should include the title of the show, approximate number and sizes of the artworks, 3 photo examples of work to be shown, medium, whether or not you plan on having works for sale and if you have specific hanging instructions or if you grant TAG&TiniER creative license for hanging and showing the works.
